Launch Party Success

On December 12, 2013, the Avergan Foundation held it’s first official fundraising event at Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge.  Our first event was an amazing success.  We raised over $7500 at the event!  With that money raised, we are helping our first family, The Liverman’s, and their son, Brayden, by providing a partial scholarship to Cisco Center in Pasadena, Maryland.


The event was attended by 165 members of the community that came out to support this wonderful cause, including the new mayor of Annapolis, Mike Pantelides and his girlfriend, Christine Dance, a special needs private therapist with special training in autism approaches.  We were overwhelmed with the support from Annapolis – it’s a small town with a HUGE heart!

Guests arrived to a red carpet entrance, complete with step and repeat and photos by Amanda McMahon Photography.  The night included live music by Winship Wheatley of The Audissey and our DJ and emcee for the evening, Ryan Deal of Mixing Maryland, kept everyone dancing the night away.  With a silent auction that included over 50 products and services, along with a live auction that included a trip to Orlando, the guests had fun bidding on great items.  And, we also had a 50/50 raffle that raised over $700 for the foundation and one lucky attendee, who ended up paying it forward and giving Christmas to a family in need.
